My compass doesn't move on iPhone

iOS requires you to explicitly grant access to the motion sensor. Tap the on-screen prompt the first time you open the app. If you dismissed it, close the tab/app and reopen.

Why is it asking for location?

Without your position the compass can't point anywhere. Your location is read live and never stored. See the Privacy page for details.

No nearby places found

Try a different category, or wait until you're somewhere with more places around you. We use Mapbox's POI data.

Can I install it like an app?

Yes! On iPhone Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android Chrome → ⋮ menu → Install app. Or download from the App Store / Play Store.

Does it work offline?

The UI works offline once it has been loaded once, but finding nearby places needs an internet connection (we hit Mapbox's API).
